講義目的 Course Objectives
The Course consists of two types of Reading lessons: Intensive and Extensive Reading exercises.
The ultimate aim of the Intensive Reading is to learn how a whole essay is organized. Grasping the main idea of the essay was the focus in IA Reading; in IB, students will learn how the main idea is built up with supporting, comparing and/or opposing points. At the end of the semester, students will be able to see how the main idea is organized with surrounding sentences.
Extensive Reading is another focus in IB; students will read a number of graded readers outside the class, and write a book report. Also, students will have more opportunities to read other materials related to Intensive Reading.
