This course aims to improve students' reading ability. In this Semester, the theme is ‘reasons’ and students will learn skills of grasping main ideas, key words/sentences, and some scanning technique.
The course features both intensive reading (reading slowly and carefully) and extensive reading (reading a lot without worrying about the details). While putting a special emphasis on the development of reading ability, this class also includes some training in listening, speaking, and writing skills because these four skilled are best learned when they are taught together.
